SEND US YOUR BROTHER

SEND US YOUR BROTHER is currently in production. Nisha has spent several months now in the field in India researching the topic, finding subjects, and beginning some preliminary filming. 

By the late summer/fall, we will be editing a trailer with footage shot in May, June and July, writing a full treatment and finalizing the production budget.

Towards the development of the project, we have secured a Shaw Media Hot Docs Development Fund grant and have received much needed support from generous private donors through our US fiscal sponsor Women Make Movies. 

Nisha was also accepted into the prestigious NFB/Canadian Film Centre Creative Documentary Lab which has provided us development funds and invaluable creative feedback for the project and was recently awarded $50,000 CAD in post-production services through an award from Canadian filmmaker Deepa Mehta and the Toronto Film Critics Association.

Lastly, we are thrilled to welcome aboard two new Executive Producers to the project: Andy Cohen (The World Before Her and Ai Weiwei Never Sorry) and Atul Gawande (best selling author of Being Mortal).
